In 2007, Case Western Reserve University embarked on a rebranding initiative aimed at fostering cohesion, raising awareness, enhancing name recognition and improving rankings. I was part of the team responsible for developing a new logo, and my original design was ultimately chosen. The design features a sunburst as seen from space, rising over the earth. The sun and rays symbolized CWRU's past; each ray represented one of the current eight professional schools; and the limitless possibilities offered by higher education spoke to the future.
